Argentine-American pianist Dr. Marcelo Lian, a sought-after performer, educator, and adjudicator, has won first prizes in several piano competitions as well as scholarships in his native country and in the United States. Dr. Lian has appeared in numerous solo recitals, including at Teatro Colón during the Martha Argerich Festival in 2002, in a recital in California on Vladimir Horowitz’s legendary piano, and in 1998 he made his debut at Carnegie Weill Hall thanks to the support and encouragement of his mentor, Dr. Ana Maria Trenchi Bottazzi. He has also performed as a soloist with several orchestras under the direction of renowned conductors such as Edgardo Cattaruzzi, Mariano Chiacchiarini, Rob Salistean, and Kenneth Meints.
