Robert Poortinga

Robert Poortinga studied in the United States and Italy with renowned musicians including Enrico Pace, Tamara Poddubnaya, and Lukas Hagen. He studied chamber music for five years with Lukas Hagen and Enrico Pace, and received guidance from Trio di Parma, Vladimir Tropp, and Pavel Gililov. His passion for the violin repertoire led to long-term collaborations with many violinists.

His CD featuring works by Sergei Prokofiev was recently praised as “impeccable” by Spanish music magazine Scherzo. Recent duo concerts with Davide de Ascaniis and Jeroen Dupont in Germany and Switzerland received glowing reviews. He performed in venues such as the WMP Concert Hall and Merkin Hall in New York—highlights of his solo career.
