The finalists for this year's international competition of young artists are determined. The Concertino Praga has been organized by Czech Radio since 1966.

Among the finalists, there are three representatives from the Czech Republic. One of them is a pianist and a member of the PETROF Art Family, Jan Schulmeister. He will celebrate his 15th birthday this year.

The ultimate winners will have the opportunity to record a CD with Czech Radio. The runners-up will receive other prizes such as 5000, 2800, and 1700 EUR scholarships provided by the Karel Komárek Family Foundation. These scholarships can be used for further musical education or buy a new instrument. In addition, the audience of the final duels will have the possibility to award the audience prize.

However, it has already been decided to award special prizes. The prize for the most successful Czech participant, donated by the already mentioned Karel Komárek Family Foundation, was won by pianist Jan Schulmeister.

In the finals of last year's competition, he received an honorable mention of the first degree.

Congratulations to Jan. We will keep our fingers crossed for him during the finals, which will take place on September 18 in Dvořák's Rudolfinum Hall. Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra with Armenian conductor Vahan Mardirossian will accompany the contestants.
