Celebrations of the 155th PETROF anniversary

This year, the company PETROF, spol. s r.o. is celebrating its 155th anniversary.

High share of handwork, careful selection of raw materials and unmistakeable romantic sound. Those are the common denominators of PETROF pianos and grand pianos. In the 155 years of its existence, PETROF has become synonymous with tradition, honest craftsmanship and quality.

To mark the 155th anniversary of PETROF, three jubilee instruments were created. The first one of which is the Tiger Wood piano, which is distinctive due to the characteristic features of the tiger wood veneer, which resembles a flame of a fire.

The second jubilee piano is Walnut Root made out of walnut wood. The choice to create a piano made of walnut wood was not accidental; walnut tree is a traditional tree in our latitudes and was widely used by our ancestors. Respect for tradition and ancestors is very important for PETROF.

The third exclusive instrument is the grand piano Stingray. This piano stands out due to its minimalist design and a unique decoration of a stingray skin.

On the occasion of the 155th anniversary of its founding, PETROF is hosting an Open Day, taking place on September 7, 2019, from 8:00am till 13:00pm. This is a great opportunity for you to see with your own eyes how our skilled staff make pianos, that can be heard all over the world.

You can also look forward to visiting the PETROF Museum and PETROF Gallery. In PETROF Museum, you will learn more about the history of the company and the fascinating fate of the Petrof family. On top of that, unique historical exhibits can be found within the Museum, such as the oldest preserved PETROF piano from the year 1867. In PETROF Gallery, you will have the opportunity to see and experience a showroom of an international significance, music café and a multipurpose hall.

Entrance to all tours is FREE OF CHARGE during the Open Day.
