Czech music celebrates a worldwide success!
Those of you, who follow us on Facebook, may remember we asked you for votes for the album of piano concerts by Antonín Dvořák and Bohuslav Martinů, recorded by a pianist Ivo Kahánek, who is a member of our PETROF Art Family and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra led by conductor Jakub Hrůša, with whom he reached the finals of the prestigious British BBC Music Magazine Awards.
We are pleased to announce that on Monday, May 11, this album received the award for the best record of the year from the British BBC Music Magazine.
In addition, it also won the BBC Radio 3 Disc of the Week, BBC Music Magazine Recording of the Month, Choc de Classica, Album der Woche on BR Klassik, and Choix de Classique HD.
