June 21 is International Yoga Day. The Prague yoga studio Yoga Movement has decided to celebrate it this year in a truly untraditional way - by practising yoga at one of the most important monuments in the Czech Republic - on Charles Bridge.
At 5 o'clock in the morning, about four hundred people who arrived for this unique yoga lesson welcomed the first day of summer.
Our grand piano PETROF Storm, played by the renowned Czech pianist and film composer Karel Havlíček, was also present directly on the bridge.
The whole event was inspired by similar events across the world's capitals, when, for example, yoga is practised in Times Square in New York or directly on the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
Charles Bridge is one of the most sought-after monuments in the world, which is visited by millions of people from all over the world every year. The view from it towards Prague Castle is known to anyone who has ever heard of Prague. Czech monarchs and the most influential personalities of Czech and world history walked on it.Photo:
