DamppChaser

It is a device for regulating climate in the upright piano or grand piano or in the immediate vicinity of the instrument. This damp-chaser reduces the amount of moisture in the air which is unsuitable for the instrument. In doing so the damp-chaser prevents the metal working parts from rusting and reduces the amount of moisture in the wooden parts. This moisture varies according to the location of the instrument.

The apparatus automatically regulates itself according to the surrounding air conditions. Water must only be added to the reservoir when indicated to do so by the damp-chaser.
