Humidor

The humidor is an appliance serving for stocking of cigars in right environment. Its main function is to keep the right moisture of cigars. Ideally the cigars should be kept under the climate with relative air humidity about 70 – 74% and temperature about 18 – 20 ⁰C. The humidor with cigars must not be exposed by higher temperature. High quality humidors should be equipped with a hygrometer and a humidifier. The luxury humidors produced by PETROF company are intended for storage of 20 – 30 cigars depending on their size.

The luxury humidors manufactured by PETROF company consist of glass cylindric body from silica glass and wooden rear and front face with a door. The wooden faces can be veneered by assorted veneer types by customer request, they can be stained to many different shades. The humidors are surface finished by high resistant polyurethanic varnishes with different degree of gloss or dullness by customer request again. This varnish protects wooden parts perfectly from influence of humidity. All the PETROF humidors are equipped standardly by hygrometer and humidifier. The door is well sealed by elastic sealing ring for stable inner climate. Good sealing of the humidor is a base for its proper function.
 
Use only destilled water with special antibacterial agent for moistenig of a damper to avoid mildew development. This agent is tasteless and odourless and it doesn´t influence the quality and flavour of the cigars. This agent is available in specialized shops.
 
The humidor must be premoisturized to appropriate dampness before storage of the cigars. Required moistening of the humidor will occur in about 12 hours after moistening of the damper. You can put the cigars into the humidor when the relative air humidity reaches approx. 65%.
 
You can enjoy the flavour of your good cigar only if you will take care of the cigars and they will be stored in proper environment.
