Susan Petrof Announces New U.S. Subsidiary and Appoints C.E.O.

Announced today by Susan Petrof, President and majority owner of the 140 year old Petrof Piano Company of Hardec Kralove, Czech Republic, is the formal organization of a new subsidiary in the United States. To be known as PETROF U.S.A., LLC, the new subsidiary will be responsible for all sales, distribution and marketing in the United States beginning after December 1, 2007.

“We wish to thank all of the U.S. dealers who have worked so well with us to represent our products over the past 20 years,” said President Petrof. “We hope dealers will be pleased to know that PETROF U.S.A. will provide in-depth inventory, financing and service at a level never before offered.” It should be noted that Susan Petrof is the fifth generation to follow Anton Petrof who founded the company 140 years ago.

In a parallel announcement, Ms. Petrof revealed that she has appointed Al Rich to serve as C.E.O. of the new U.S. company. “We are extremely pleased that Mr. Rich has agreed to join with us in the launch of this new company,” said Ms. Petrof. “His background of success in establishing and growing successful operations in our industry is precisely what we need and we look forward to a long and successful partnership.”

Mr. Rich is the former C.E.O of Pearl River Piano Group America and has a forty year career in the piano industry. “The high standards of the PETROF company will be maintained”, said Rich, “and dealers should know that they can expect a level of care and service never before experienced. That is my commitment.” It was also stated that product shipment should start after December 1, 2007 and be fully normalized by NAMM show time in January of 2008.

The PETROF Company, with 140 years of tradition, has enjoyed great success in the past two years in the face of a worldwide industry downturn. PETROF’s current sales records in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Australia, Iceland and Asia have afforded the company the ability to produce new improved and tested scales and furniture styles that will be offered in the U.S. These new products will be available after December 1st and surely will be received with enthusiasm both Rich and Petrof commented.

Contact for the new PETROF U.S. office during start up operations will be through Al Rich at 404-310-5519.
